It just makes sense to THIS guy, Harry. God knows you can find a rat that's not rotten (RUST, eek!) and complete for a song. Stay off the 'List and the 914 boards and pick up one from a guy who thinks it's "just a VW Porsche." Drop by 914club.com and look and see what kind of DE sweetness you can build for probably less dough than even the rattiest Speedster kit. Granted, a lot of those guy at the 914 site are into mondo sixes in their cars, but that shouldn't suggest that a hot 4 won't git 'er done!

Now about that Catterham 7 with an S2000 drivetrain....

You can put a 350 in a Corvair, you can put a Northstar V8 in a Fiero, you can put a GN V6 in a 944 so if you get your kicks putting strange things in strange cars, go for it. You might look into a Corvair Flat 6, they are DIRT cheap and can be made very powerful (my father in law is finishing up his 3.4L 250+ HP motor in the next few weeks), he bought 2 complete motors (running) for less than I paid for my boost controller.

Can it be done, I am sure it can. Dont know how much sense it makes, but go to it!
