Does anyone know of a radio delete panel or some such thing that can fit into an early 944 to replace the radio? I did a search and couldn't find anything. My fabrication skills are lousy so I'm not sure I can build something that looks better than the big hole that's there now.

Dimensions are approximately 7 1/4" x 2". Do you think something like this
late console pocket could fit?

well i'm pretty sure you can replace it with the panel that comes from 9xauto or the other store which i forget at the moment. it can be used to put gauges or switches in. if you want a pocket sorry i can't think of one right now.

i bought a used plastic under-radio pocket, turned it upside down, and it fits perfect and works great. i have two storage trays now. i have a picture of it at my home computer.
