My dad and I just did the vac lines on the Turbo... we used the kit from Lindsey...the difference was black and white. The throttle response and idle were 1000% improved over what they were. I'm now looking to do these on the 924S when I have the money.

Here's a sit that has lots of GOOD info. BTW, about 25' of hose from Purosil is $15--no affiliation.

That is good to hear. I think you may be a bit enthusiastic about the 1000% but I am sure you are happy about it.

I know when I first installed the new vacuum lines my car was quicker to get to higher RPMs. I felt like it was eager to rev instead having to be prodded and pushed to RPM. If that makes any sense.

I'm racking my (slow) mind... can't figure out what "NTC" sensor is.

This is a great thread, I'll be definitely updating the vacuum lines when the engine goes back together.

Thanks!

I got that from the Porsche Service Manual on the DME wiring diagram it has all of the sensors that feed signals to the DME. There are two temperature sensors.

The one that drives the temperature gauge on the instrument panel is the one on the side of the block that has two spade lug connectors on it. The wiring diagram calls this the "Water Temp Sensor".

The other sensor is directly below the radiator hose that goes to the top drivers side of the engine. That sensor has a connector like the fuel injectors and on the wiring diagram it is referred to as "NTC (Water)". So I was referring to that sensor as NTC. Must be an acronym for something in German.
