Update..
The trans is louder than usual. I'm suspecting frame damage due to the dead on hit the Drivers side rear corner took, it handles very poorly. (no comments...) I havent to check if it is "crabwalking"
I suspect the kid in the corolla was doing about 40 - 45 mph. much too fast for wet icy roadways.
But that is almost the normal level of stupid driving.
I was walking away from the car this morning and some a-hole in a Acura MDX fly by me at about 50mph.
(Posted limit is 30- 1 lane, ice covered and fresh snowmelt.) The broad driving shot me a dirty look as she blatherd into her cell..
I think all these people were shaken as babies..

Sorry to hear about this. On the other hand, it's nice to have gotten some digital pics right away.
Keep driving the Buick - you need to know if something was indeed broken. I would let my insurance company know, just in case. I can't see how the insurance rates would go up if the car was parked.

This is an odd concept forme to grasp.. her car (if totalled) is worth more than what she originally paid for it 3-4 years ago.
She wants a Toyota Solara.

Sorry bout the luck chris & patti.
IIRC, a parked car is not under driving insurance, considered home owners propertiy (and insurance) I beleive. I know it don't sound right and I may be wrong, but there was something in that business law class I took about a car begin covered under homeowners insruance.
