FMV for 88 924s
I have an opportunity to pick up an 88 924s. It has ~100k miles, good service records, very good body and paint, never seen snow, mechanically sound, the interior is quite poor. I just redid the interior in my 944, so that is no problem for me.
I need to take a closer look at the car and scrutinize the maintenance records, but if it's all in order, what's a fair price for this car?
Thanks in advance.

hm, mines in very good shape besides needing some little stuff.dash cracked and paint- and i would expect like 4000-5000 range, this car would be anywere from 3k down i would say with the service, and overall shape of the car being the real deciding factor. Do what i do, pay as little as possible...even if its nice!

One thing is an upgrade: The 88 924 has a slightly higher compression ratio, so slightly more power. Shorter 5th gear too.

Kurt is right on the differences. The 924S is a little lighter as well. Some people prefer the steel a-arms because the ball joints are easy to replace and dirt cheap.
Sounds like a potential bargain, as a bad interior will turn off the great majority of potential buyers.
I bought mine 8 years ago, at about 80k miles, excellent condition and history, needed no work whatsoever at the time, for $4,400. That was probably a little below market, but not by much.
Great car, I've really enjoyed it.
