Exclamation Total911 - New Porsche Magazine launches Spring 2005

Total911 Magazine - nothing else matters
Launches Spring 2005

Total911 Magazine is the culmination of a lifetime's passion for the Porsche 911. Ardent Rennlisters Rob Mugglestone, John Francas and Editor, Phil Raby, have created Total911 to provide the Porsche community with the magazine you have been waiting for.

As the title suggests, Total911 is 100% committed to the design icon that is the 911 - from the first to the latest - in as much detail as you can handle.

Total911 will feature photography to blow your mind - the photos we wish we could all take; if only we have the talent, the cars and the locations; above all though, we'll give them space to do them justice.

In-depth articles written by knowledgable, authoratative contributors. No more thin, shallow features about cars that 'corner on rails' or 'look fast standing still'; a readership focused on one model will expect, and be delighted by, articles which go beyond any other 911 feature you'll have read before.

Total911 will be truly 'borderless'. Cars and drivers from the US, Europe and the UK will all feature in the magazine, bringing the best 911's the world has to offer to our readership.

We hope you are as excited about the prospect of Total911 as we are. We are proud sponsors of Rennlist and thought you guys would appreciate hearing about this first.

We are offering a 10% discount to Rennlist members on early subscriptions. If you want to know more, go to www.total911.com .

We'll be adding some preview features to the website soon, some downloadable scrensavers of our best photos and more, so keep checking in now and again for updates.

Lastly, if you have any queries about advertising in Total911, fancy yourself as a contributor or have some fantastic photos you'd like us to feature, drop any of us an e-mail.

Oh, and Merry Xmas!!!

John, Phil and Rob.

I'm tempted to ask why this was posted in the 944 forum, but seeing as you're a rennlist sponser I'll accept it. Chances are if you are producing a magazine that

You arent going to get many subscriptions from 944 owners.

MPD - isnt THAT what we need, ANOTHER 911 publication. Lets see:
911 and Porsche World
Excellence
Christophorus

There must be more

You would think this market we pretty well covered. So WHY cant we seem to get a 924/944 publication?

Kinda started off on the wrong foot didn't they! While I applaud anyone who follows their dream, it's a bit dissapointing to see the "little" guys left out in the cold. Then again, I think the title says it all. Best of luck on your venture.

Because 944 people are cheap and won't pay the $10 for the mag and won't support the vendors that would theoretically advert in it. There, I said it.

The tag line "Nothing else matters" is ironic as you post this in a 944 forum.

Seriously though, congrats and good luck.

Matt H, you're forgetting PANORAMA.

I would pony up 120 a year in a second if the publication were good. Hell, I have some article ideas already. Anyone? Be happy to write some with pics in my spare time.

While I agree there does need to be a 944 mag, I think some are being a bit Harsh on Phil, et al. They are a site sponsor and are just trying to get the word out.

I admit, I tend to read everything Porsche, even if it is about the other models. I'm certain I'll buy the first issue and check it out (let's hope it has better editors than GT&PP!)

NOT trying to be harsh on Phil, just pointing out the irony of a logo that says "nothing else matters" and posting it in the 944 forum

No offence intended to any Porsches owners - 911 or otherwise. I knew there may be some flak if I posted here....

As Tifosiman pointed out, there are issues with sales and repsonse to adverts in any niche magazine, which is probably why there isn't a 944 magazine. As to why 'another' 911 magazine - we feel that 911 & PW has become a magazine that caters alot for the 924, 944, Boxster, Cayenne and others. As a Porsche nut, I particularly like the 911 variant and I think that there are alot of others out there who like to read about them in much more detail - detail that the other magazines don't seem to offer.

As was said above, good luck on your venture, I hope it exceeds your expectations.

That said, if 911 and Porsche world (or ANY Porsche publication) caters to the 924/944, then I'm a ham sandwich.

Yum!

Guys, you ask why there isn't a 944 magazine. I would think its because none of us have organized an effort to produce one like John Rob and Phil have.

Kudos to you, but Nothing Else Matters?

LOL....A lot of 924/944/951/968 owners feel as though the 911 crowd give our cars no respect. This statement just solidifies that, and will probably not net you many 944 owning subscribers.

And agreed.

Again, good luck with your new magazine. I'll surely pick up the first copy and take a look!
