cold start issue maybe

Default cold start issue maybe

Ok so i come home from basic and start the car right up. runs great for the first 2 days. then when it got realy cold it wont turn over. the lights radio and everything electical works. tried jumping it but that did not help. doyou think it is the starter? anyother ideas? thanks guys. i miss my car to much to just let it sit in the cold

Try giving the starter a good whack with a golf club. Worst case, you drop it and pop in a used one in less than 1 hour to see what happens.

Seriously, the starter on my 83 suddenly stopped working one day after having sat for several months. I followed "the above procedure" and it continued to work again indefinitely! Go figure.
