Default BBS RS's on 944

Hey, I am looking for pictures of 944's with bbs rs wheels. I did a search but couldn't come up with very many. If any of you have any could you please post them. The reason why I am looking is because there is a set of 16x8 RS's for sale not very far from where I am (which is rare). I was going to go with a set of cup 3 replicas but since these are avaiable and close I am thinking of going with these. Any opinions on which would be a better choice are welcome.
Thanks- jeff

Heres the ones I had on my car, when i first bought it, I took them off because i didn't like the gold on red. Wish I had kept them now, to paint them black

Its not all about the look. And most of the younger generations dislike them.

Check out the inner halves for cracks. The rims are light but thin, and the halves are no longer available.

Smokey, glad you mentioned the rims are no longer available. Actually they are but in pretty limited quantities. Like 3 or 4 halves left in my offset. So I'm sending one of my wheels down to BBS to get the outer half replaced. Smacked a pothole in Chicago that took out the tire sidewall and put stress cracks in the paint. Rim doesn't look bent but I'm sure it is. There goes another $300 down the black hole, AKA 944 Turbo S. What can you do?

cool, thanks a lot guys. If anyone else has anymore please post them, especially if you have any of a gold 944 with them. As for the rims do they crack often or is it hard to crack them? The car will be mostly a daily driver with maybe one or two track days a summer. thanks

I have 3-piece bbs on my car. They are 9x15 and 11x15. BBS parts are available from Bob Woodman Tire in NC 843-571-2277. I have had good luck purchasing from Bob and he and the staff there are quite knowledgable.

BBS 3-piece are light and strong but most of the old wheels are getting to such an age where they probably should not be used on the track, IMHO. My centers are dated about 1986, I believe. Even with the best maintenance and care (BBS do have a problem with corrosion of the centers), they're just too old to chance it on the track. Besides, with a little research I think you'll find there are many better options out there.

So, the BBS are for shows and I have a set of 17" turbo twists for the track. I'll post pics if I can.

Don't know if anyone's noticed, but there's a difference between the BBS RS and RA wheels...
