Default How is your heater?

I find this amazing that of all the cars I have owned my 924S heats up the cabin better and much faster than any other car!

I had always been under the impression that Porsche's are not too good at cooling or heating the interior. Must be an Aircooled thing.

So what is your opinion?

Hey Dal! Happy holidays buddy!

Instant hot as hell- best heater in any car I have ever owned. 5 minutes of running in sub-zero and the cabin is toasty warm.

The aircoolers must rely on a heat exchanger (like the old beetles) - if it rusts, little or no heat

Happy Holidays to you and yours as well! Thanks!

It is around 3 degrees here now WC is minus and my home is a freezer. I think I will go snuggle up to the Porsche for some Sunday morning warmth.

Quickest car to blow hot air that I've ever had.

My son calls it "melt your face hot".

I can't hold my hand too close to the vent or else it hurts. I swear it's hot enough to melt that plastic. And it's normally hot by the time I get out of my neighborhood, which is about half a mile.

I assume that is why they routed the metal heater "hose" just above the exhaust manifold, to get heat as quickly as possible.

Oh boy, the 924S i had has the worse heat ever. Im not sure what it was, either a clogged heater core or just air in the system. It blew 'warm' air at best. It was a very cold winter last year. The heat in the 944 is great though, warm within 1-minute of driving and too hot after 5 minutes. Just gotta get the a/c working and im set!

Its funny, i owned the 924S for almost 2.5 years and up till the day i sold it never figured out how to work the ventalation controls completley. Those things were so damn confusing...
