What's the mileage?

If you'd said $4000 obo, I'd be on this like white on rice...

I'm in the midst of hunting for a new 944, I'm trying to get rid of my cursed one. It's a very very long story, but I think a german assembly worker died in my car, or it was built on a burial ground or something. Either way, this car has to go, and I only have about $4000 to replace it with. Then again, I guess you're in wisconsin, that's a bit of a drive for me.

I'm thinking about it.... would be white on rice (heh, nice saying Zero10) if it were an S2. I did the Trubo thing first, and while it was a nice car it didn't fit my style of driving (though, that was in Atlanta and I'm in the middle of freaking nowhere AZ now).

I'll talk with my wife about it though... she's been wanting a car again.

I'm just feeling the need for boost. My 944 makes in the neighborhood of 95 hp right now (sub-100psi compression on all 4 cylinders, and it's running waay rich), so stepping up to 200+ would just be great.

I heard that saying somewhere, and it's just such a neat little saying =)

My only issue with turbo's is turbo lag, but I'm sure I could get used to that.

Could you post the mileage, and any more information you may have? Perhaps including the vin number?
Is it an 86?
If you get a sec, could you please email the pics to

Trust me you WILL get used to it. Here's my take on turbo lag debate

951: Stab it and give yourself a split second to prepare for the rush.

N/A: Stab it and wait for the rush but never get it.

The choice is yours!

lol, i agree with 2tight there. My 9000 turbo is an amazing rush.....boost is too addicting to shun.

Boost is like a drug.
I'm presently eyeing 2 turbo's right now, one's a little over 5k, has some minor rust, but other than that, is in A+ shape, 130,000 miles.
The other one is this one. My biggest beef is it's not the original color. If I bought it, I would feel compelled to return it to it's original color.
But I'm still wondering what the mileage is on it?

See, my gripe with the 951 WAS the lag. I did almost nothing but city driving with lots of stop and go... being smoked off the line by the 10y/o girl on her pink bike wasn't really THAT much fun. I never got used to it (2 years of driving), never liked it and only delt with it because I liked the rest of the car. Driving down the highways though, it was a great car. I loved doing roadtrips in the thing (only did 2 big ones).... now all I do are roadtrips (every weekend I'm driving at least 300 miles, and usually closer to 600).

Like I said, I'll talk to my wife... then again, there's a really clean 5-speed 86 928 down here local to me for just a small bit more.

105k miles is pretty low. Best of luck with selling this one, but it's just not for me. I couldn't live with a car that's not it's original color, would always bug me. The other car I'm looking at is much closer as well.

Thanks though =)

I agree! hehe.

Actually I do, it would make for a great race car because most just end up tearing out the interior and the paint doesn't really matter either.
