Default progress on the teener

a few months ago i traded off for a 76 914 2.0. I drove it a while and even autoxed once- not fun w/ no swaybars-but now its time to rip into it further.
Here is the progress so far, with the motor out, new motor on the stand-110hp fresh rebuild from The Garaj. I also have the floor welded up and repainted the engine bay, bought some five lug hubs, and will be doing some reinforcing/ body work and painting inthe near future, including race seats, swaybars, phone dial wheels and euro lights....heres the pics so far.

nice work. cant wait to see it finished.

sorry i havent gotten back with you yet about the engine. im gonna go ahead and pass on it. (im sure you probably assumed that already). i think i have a 912 engine lined up, thats history is well known. the owner of the engine bought last year with only 3000 miles on it to run while he rebuilds his original motor. he uses it as a daily driver in cali, so its collected miles.. but the owner (a board member on the 912 registry) runs the 912bbs, and has a web page about his maintenece up keep etc on the 912... being an **** guy everything little thing is documented on his website http://www.hillmanimages.com/912/
if it works out ill be happy. the history for the most part is well documented, and being who he is, with a reputation to uphold, it makes much more sense than to gamble with a mill off ebay. also it will be cheeper than doing a t4 (when taking into consideration everything extra needed to do to use it on top of the purchase price.) his engine will be finished at the end of the month and so we wont know til then if its a done deal or not. ill keep you updated. (which means when i get this or another 912 motor which im also talking to someone about we will have a party up here.. engine r&r.. and engine tear down.)

What happened to the guy from Dayton that was going to buy the motor for his 914? He seemed to be all hot to find one when we were at the Stuttgart sale.............

Xsboost / Xzibit, who every you are, I get confused! that ride is pimped, all you need now is a mexican interior man, and some CUSTOM mixed paint. Oh and a fish tank inbetween the seats!

Looks great!, you sure make fast work!

No sweat Danny.
drove the Celica 120 miles today. What causes an alternater to overheat and burn? Bad voltage regulator?

I had to disconnect the alternator in Indiana.. very electrical smokey..I forgot the extinguisher in the 924.. looky like a new alternator too!!

Pete- maybe 70 hp right now..LOL 75mph at 2500rpm. in "sport mode"
