Try Quicktime, a much better player in my opinion, plays perfectly on my computer ( Apple ) with that and some updated Divx codecs. Should work the same on a PC!

Ugh, quicktime and ugh macs. Just ugh.
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/f...2.exe?download
Click that link and select a source in the US. Install that using the default settings and itll let you play XVid format files. I cant remember for sure if that top gear one is an xvid or not, but I think it is.

Are you opening the .torrent file or the .avi one, should be the bigger one, make sure that you are not opening the .torrent file. This is different from the actual video. Welcome to Rennlist

Hi mato! Welcome to rennlist
I'll say it again: You need to have X-VID codecs installed to view.
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/f...2.exe?download
it is the most recent standard for .avi compression (.. div-x spelled backwards... lol)

Yes, if you have a firewall, or an ISP that is blocking those ports or the software, you have to get creative with the ports.
sometimes it starts off really slow.. but I find it usually starts to rocket the download after an hour.
as always, you can please some of the people some of the time..
I'd be curious to know how many peeps on here were able to see the vid thanks to the torrent.

Worked great. Xvid is about as exotic as my installed codecs get, so I'm guessing not having it must be many people's problem.
That show is pretty good, first I'd seen of it. Very nice photography on the GTI segment, and the Porsches were great, of course.
People that are uploading significantly faster than they are downloading: use Azureus or Torrentstorm, and be sure to set a limit to your total upload speed.

i was able to download via the torrent at a continuous >100kB/s. i have the bittorrent port set up with my router for port forwarding so well seeded torrents seem to go very smoothly

IMO, Bit Torrent is a piece of crap. I've never gotten it to work even after screwing with ports for hours on end. Pitty, as there seems to be lots of good stuff on Suprnova. Unfortunetly, as more people start using it, I start downloading things less and less.

Sometimes it can take a bit to get the ball rolling...
Ive anyone has serious problems getting it, ill toss it on my FTP server and pass out the username/password to a few people at a time. Im limited to 60 or 70k/sec upload, so this will be a last resort for a few people at a time.
