Default Will 275 fit in back with 17inchers?

Ive got 17inch by 9 rear turbo twists. They currently have 255s on em. I want to go larger in the back and the next size of the same tire is 275. Will the 275 work with the 9 inch rim? And will it fit in the back of my 87 turbo? Thanks

I did it with mine but the offset was off so it scraped a little not because of the width of the tire. If I rolled the lip of the quarter panel, it would have worked well even if the offset was wrong. I have seen rolled quarterpanels take 315 width so 275 should be fine on the right wheel.

I've had a 315 nitto drag radial on the rear little rubbing not as bad as my current wheels and tires are now though

Yes, they will work but they are a little large for the wheel.

Yeah, on a 9" rim, you'd probably get better performance from a 255mm tyre than the taller 275mm one. Better on a 10" rim or best on a 11" rim. It will fit if you have the proper offset wheel, which is about +10mm more offset than stock.
