Default Need cooling fan relay from early style 944

Hey guys.. i noticed that my Cooling Fan relay in my 84 944 is dead (its the first relay for the early cars). I was wondering if anyone was parting out a car with this part. Ive been quoted around $70 for a new one from a local shop, and I just dont have that much money to spend on a relay so I was hoping someone might have a spare sitting around they want to get rid of. Lemme know.

-Scott

Found them. The part # is 944.615.110.00 . PelicanParts says that these were replaced with 944.615.110.01. They are listed as the A/C system relay there. Do these look right? Both relays have the same #'s in the images, just flipped around to show the different labels.

Let me know if these are the right ones. I can meet you somewhere to drop them off.

Hey Andrew, was that you I passed a couple of weeks ago?I forget which day it was, maybe the Monday or Tuesday of thanksgiving week. It was a dark colored 944 cab, I honked my horn as I passed.

nah, my car hasn't been on the road for quite a while. cool that there's another cab around though; they're so rare that you never really see them

i think we just need to do a better job bleeding the system, or the thermostat's doing something wierd. i'd think in this weather with one fan on constantly, that should keep the temps in check if everything else was fine

Scoot,
When you are on the highway at say 65mph in fifth gear is the temp needle 3/4 of the way up? If so that is where it should be when normal.

tom, me and skoot had tested the cooling fan relay according to the clark's garage procedure and it definately failed. he does need a new one and only has a temp fix we rigged up that turns one of the fans on

Not disputing that, just think Scott is getting worried about where the needle is. He has to find out where the "normal" place should be.
