By door mouldings, we mean the raised stripes that go across the door. The stone guards which you are reffering to, however, can be removed with a heat gun and lots of gasoling, or oops, or some sort of acetone (nail polish remover works well) to scrub off the gooey glue thats lefts over Its a pain in the butt, so dedicate a few hours, but sure looks a lot better once removed/replaced.
