Default Extremely cheap tires in Florida

Just thought I'd post this for anyone looking for some cheap tires. I was in Stuart over the holiday visiting my parents and ran across a Goodyear tire center selling 225/60/VR16s for $20 each (tirerack has them for $115). The county's Police dept replaces the tires on all cop cars through this shop on a fleet basis whether the car needs tires or not. There were about 20 or so on the display rack...of which I grabbed two for a non P-car I'm selling that were barely warn....I mean still had most of the little nubbies on them/no dry root/clean side walls etc... The manager then said he has another 200 in the back if I wanted to pick through and find the best. All tires are Goodyear Eagle RS-A 225/60/V rated 16s which should fit phone dials/fuchs nicely. No affiliation w/ the shop just thought it was a good deal and figured I'd pass it on.

Heres their address:
877 SE Monterey Rd Stuart Fl.
(772) 283-7956

Those'd be a bit tall on a 944, they are Sedan (Crown Vic) tires. Good deal though.

I figured they would fit being that stocks were 55s but I just eyeballed one next to my 45/17s (stock ride height) and it is about an inch taller. Granted I'm looking at it total hieght only..once it would be concentric on a rim it would only be a half inch...still. Oh well good deal if you have a family car in need of tires then!

Correction, they are WAY too tall for a 944 but if you have any domestic they should work nicely.
