Why Coolant Leak Here?
In addition to the o-ring on my upper balance shaft housing spewing oil, I have now found a slight sliver of coolant in the area around the bottom of the oil fill cannister (on the lip just above the oil pan gasket area). Where would this coolant be coming from?????

Yep, cooler is on the passenger side. You said a sliver of coolant. It could be just residual hanging around from the last time the bleeder bolt was used. Or maybe the D gasket under the water fitting on the rear of head as it goes into the heater valve, possibly a leaky hose on the upper main hose?
The best way I know of to FIND these leaks is to use a coolant pressure tester. A good stant unit costs about $80.00 plus, but is a great tool to have around. Maybe you can rent one somewhere. Once you use one, you'll see just how much advantage there is to having one. You'll know in a heartbeat if, and most the time, WHERE its leaking from, when you use it, because it will be leaking out WHEN your actually looking for it. Good luck
