I've found the plastic grocery bag method the best way to eliminate messy oil changes. There's usually the odd dribble of oil that get's away, but so be it. Also, 944 N/A's (N/A/s only) can be fitted with a 928 oil filter which sits taller and is much easier to install and remove. It will take about .3 or .4 litre more oil on average when using a 928 filter.
