Yes. It is possible... With major surgery. Kelly Moss (www.kellymoss.com) has done an outstanding job of transplanting a 700+ HP 928 engine in a 944. However, I'm guessing that there was a "cost doesn't matter" attitude when going down this path and, from the looks of it, "street legal" was never a target for this beast...

yeah but it seems you could do it to a normal 944 just by doing some minor mods to the engine bay and then maybe bracing it to make up for the cuts to make more space/width?

it would be the ultimate hybrid v8 for the 944
