I go to school in gainesvile. I have done that drive way to many times. You should definately caravan up here. Watch out at the halfway bridge in sumter. I got a ticket there speeding back to clearwater. The officer asked me why I was speeding and I gave the honest response "I am trying to get to a friends wake." He was all oh that is aweful, I'm so sorry. Then I he gave me the ticket. That was in the 68 fastback. What an jerkface.

Ha haaaaaa....

I got a ticket going through sumter. There was construction on both sides. The trooper was coming towards me in a 55mph zone. I was going south in a 65mph zone going 68.

I was scratching my head about the ticket and despite protesting got it anyway. I drove back and checked....yep, I was in the right. So, the next month I showed up at the sumter courthouse to fight it.

Very, very nice, almost opulent courthouse...looked like trouble.

Over 80 people there that day with tickets. EVERY LAST ONE was found guilty and forced to pay plus court costs. They called me last. My officer was no where to be found. The judge said to me...

..."Son, I don't know what your story is, but I am sure you are guilty. Since the officer didn't show up, I have to dismiss the charges. Don't speed through my county again"..

Amazing....I never go over 70 through sumter no matter what.

Ok, we are getting some more details together. The date is Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th. In case anyone wants to stay at a hotel there is one less than 4 miles away (knights inn). I am putting together some more details right now and will post back here later tonight. Matt is going to make up a RSVP form to fill out on http://www.p-caronline.com/florida/ so keep an eye out. More to come...

Travis is it fine if we (Jessica and I) stay at your place or should I be looking into a hotel?

Thanks

Everyone is welcome to stay if they like. Bring some sleeping bags or whatever. There are a few bunk beds and a couple of couches, and I don't mind. The only reason I put up the hotel was incase anyone just wanted there own room. (they have a $35 per night rate for that weekend).
Here is the address if anyone wants to look into it further.
Micanopy Knights Inn
17110 SE CR 234
Micanopy , Florida 32667
United States
352-466-3163

But again, everyone is welcome to find a place to crash at the house, I dont mind at all.

As the boss man said, the RSVP form is now up.

Please go to http://www.p-caronline.com/florida/who.html to RSVP and be added to the list of attendees.

THIS IS GOING TO ROCK.

Georgia and North Florida Rennlisters you NEED to make the trek. I'd go even if I still lived in North Carolina, but that might just be me...

Come get your free car parts and gifts through the raffle, or wax-on-wax-off until you can't take anymore and win the "Shine-and-Show"!

Keep tabs on the website as we provide you with more information about the first ever RennStock! Fewer hippies, MORE PORSCHES!

This sounds interesting but I'm not sure I can make it at this time. I may have to sign up at the last minute. I'd also be interested in caravaning from the Tampa Bay area.

I'd love to go but my 944 isn't in pristine condition (to say the least). I consider it the James Traficant of porsches - it's crude, obnixous, and should probably be locked away somewhere.

You mind if a less-than-perfect p-car attends, driven by a relative newcomer to rennlist? (provided, of course, it makes the drive without AAA).

Bring it on. Maybe we can give away a prize for the most "James Traficant like" P-car.

I can not commit to it yet, but I think I will be able to make it.
A caravan from Tampa would be great. Anyone from the Tampa side of the bay want to meet up and drive out? Or have a meeting place some where on I75 for everyone to meet?

when we bike to daytona the first rest stop north of I-4 on 75 is usually pretty convenient.
