Default I think i pissed the Porsche gods off

Ok either i pissed the gods off or my car is haunted. I think its more haunted. Whenever it rains, the rear passenger seat carpet gets SOAKED! I mean its like somebody just unloaded a huge **** back there. I dont know where the water is coming from either. Its not coming from the sunroof or anywhere above because i have a towel there ready to catch it. Its not coming from the front, because only this part of the carpet is wet, not any of the front. Its just a huge puddle of wetness.

I must have pissed in the Porsche Gods cereal or something. But hey, THEY ASKED FOR IT MAN!!!!

Anyway. Help. Pleaes. Thanks.

If it's not coming from the sunroof, then it's dripping from a bad/unsealed rear hatch seal.

Ruh roh! This could be, but then how would the water get up under the seat and between the side of the passenger seat and the door?

my red car used to leak from the sunroof seal-because the drain was clogged- and it would run down the roof/window, rear panel, to the carpet...not a strait drip from the roof to the floor.

It could be coming in from fire wall. It can run down the little bumps in the floor pan and never touch the carpet until it collects at the back. See if it matters if you park with your car on an incline. I know the turbo stays dry unless I leave the front on jackstands in the rain, then I get a big puddle.

Oh, also.. Make sure you roll the windows up if its raining. That can let water in as well.

Tell someone to run a hose on the top of the car, and locate the leak.

I have a leak when it rains really hard at 60 mph on the passenger side lower dash. Then and ONLY then. all my drains are clean, and the battery box is solid.

i'm still figgering this out.

I found the leak methinks...

What is happening is somewhere (rear hatch or sunroof, like dan said possible clogged drain holes, which btw where are those?) in the back the water is actually going from behind the rear seats, under the seat, and reaching the carpet from little holes where the rear seat is. The passenger rear seat has a huge puddle under it, which i soaked up, but the glue holding the seat down is completly gone. Im gonna try unclogging the drain holes... is it time for new carpet ?

EDIT: I saw 2 little holes around the sunroof area. I stuck a coathanger in them to try and unclog them. I dont think they were drain holes, if they are, theyre not draining anything. The holes lead right through the car and opened up right above the rear seats. Actually now that i think about it, its probally that same bastard hole letting water in.

You should have tubes connected to the drain holes. Items 37,36,39.

They have those on Pelican for about $5. Since you're here in SoCal, just select "UPS Ground" and you'll have it next day anyway too.

You can get them from Tweeks(Now Mid America but www.tweeks.com still works)- CNC machined aluminum and black anodized for about 20$- will never break again.

Rock, did you find these drain tubes in your car? I would be hard pressed to find a cause for a person to remove them.

the drain tube was there. It just fell off somehow. There is a little piece that connects to a tube, the tube had fallen off the piece
