I was going through my old car magazines and found the following:
Porsche 944S "Lusts vented, no waiting." - C&D, Aug. '87, 6 pages
Road Test "Porsche 944 Turbo S" - C&D, June '88, 4 pages
Driving Impressions "'89 Porsche 944" - C&D, Nov. '88, 1 page
Driving Impressions "1990 Porsche 944S2 Cabriolet" - C&D, Nov '89, 2 pages
Comparison Test "A Tire for All Seasons" (9 different tires all tested on a 944) - C&D, Nov. '89, 9 pages
Tested in Europe - Carrera 4, 944 S2 and 911 Turbo - R&T, Feb 89, 12 pages
I'm sure I probably have more, my wife "claims" she has never thrown any of my old C&Ds out
I can scan these in and email to someone who would like to clean them up and post them somewhere. I'll probably have time this weekend - still using dial-up.
If one person was willing to be a clearing house for this type of archived data I would just have to send it once. Maybe Rennlist would like to open a magazine article archive?

I host a few here:
http://www.944fest.com/media/media.html
There may be an issue with copyrights, so I don't know if Rennlist can get involved with this sort of project. If you scan them in and send them to me I'd be glad to add them to my collection!
Thanks for the offer!

Dan - I have the one where R&T (I think) compare all four 4-cyl Porsches available in 1987 - 924S, 944, 944S, 944 Turbo. All red cars, tested at 110 degrees Farenheit in the Arizona desert (results in some dismal acceleration and top speed times). If you do not have this one and would like to scan it, let me know and I can let you borrow it, or I can scan it myself and put it on a CD for you.

I have the original C & D from 1982 with the 1st review of the 'new' 944. Problem is I have no way to scan it or post other than hi-res photo. I could always loan it to someone more computer savvy than me.(i.e. about 90% of the folks here!).

Danno,
Send me your address and I'll get the magazine out tomorrow. Return it when you are through with the scan. There's another article in there about the developer of the 944 and what they wanted to avoid after the 924...no disrespect to 924 owners intended. Send the address to sburke45@comcast .net
