Default Changing of the Garage (again)

2004 has proved to be a year of constant flux in my porsche garage, and before the year is out there will be one more change.

The Graphite Grey 951 will be leaving and going to another deserving rennlister, Tim I hope you don't mind me posting this, but the car is going to Bloodraven. After his accident a few weeks ago he and I started talking and came to an agreement where I get the wreck and he gets the running 951. While I was not expecting to give up a 951 with such a great color it seemed to solve problems for both of us.

This should have me driving the 924S as I pull off all the valuable bits and pieces from the wreck in hopes of putting enough aside and saving enough cash to complete the motor swap into the 24. Its a huge project and given that I have a pending job change looming on the horizon I might not have the time to get it done. But I wanted to at least put all the pieces in place to do so.

And pictures of the two:

I hope the job works out for you Ian! Glad to see Tim getting back into the game so soon.

Man, I need John Madden and a chalboard giving me a play-by-play in order to keep up with the everchanging "Stable De Ian".

Yup, I guess we officially announce it now! I am getting the grey car, and I truthfully can't wait! I got to see the car in person this past weekend, and it is AWESOME! Tifo, did you expect me to stay out for long?? The first thing I did after the accident got cleared off the road was look for a new one...lol

Tim, congrats on getting back in the game!

Is that car Graphite Metallic? That is an incredible color!
It sure would look good with Kahn wheels!

And the puns just keep on rolling....

And for those who wonder the why behind a lot of my actions, well I needed to pay off some debt, I wanted another project, and lastly:

When you have this car taunting you to buy it at ever turn it is hard to say no.....

I think Petes Kahns are late offset so youd need spacers. They would look hot though.

The Kahs are late offset, but spacers are a minor issue when talking about nice wheels. There are very few early offset non OEM wheels that I would want on an 86, notable exception being the 17 inch BBS LMs.

ian, judging from bloodraven's last car, I'm sure your 951 is in great hands.

Um... how are you judging? last time he got his hands on a car, it ended up wrecked. (but lots of us do that, well, not me... at least not yet)
Congrats Tim, this is a great car! Remember Sach 951? with the girl kissing the turbo avatar? thats his old car, maybe you can find a girl like that too now! awsome color. Needs kahns.
