Default paging SFR users: install questions

For Blue S2, matt H, etc.
When you installed your SFR system, did you use the stock exhaust clamp on the SFR 2.5" system? Do I need to get a different one, or will the stock one work?
If I do need a new one, where would I get that?

Where are you referring to? I should have come with a clamp for the pipe to muffler, a copper gasket, and that is it. You use the 3 bolt (4 bolt for Turbos) flange at the front with the copper gasket and use the Walker clamp to hold the muffler to the pipe. The use the stock mounting points for the rest. Since it weighs 1/5 the stock (or less) I didnt use anything additional.

I have no gasket or clamp in the package - just a muffler section and tube section. The muffler slides over the tube section.
Can I get the gasket somewhere else?
can I get the clamp somewhere else?
I'd like to install this tomorrow, but aparently don't have the parts.

You MIGHT be able to go without the gasket, it will be loud but should be drivable until you can get one. The clamp can be purchased in your neck of the woods at a place like Grainger or Tractor Supply Company (or any place that sells big rig parts), it is a pretty standard Walker clamp. Can you snap a pic, I want to make sure Tim didnt change anything.

I wrote tim a PM and a message on the thread ont eh turbo board... hopefulyl he's on on weekends.
I, unfortunately, am the last person in the world without a digital camera. I will say that the stock clamp may work since the pipe is only .25 bigger. As for a gasket, I'm not sure how that would work without a gasket. The inner edge is beveled (sort of rounded toward the inside of the pipe with just a flat steel mounting surface. I don't see a way anything other than a paper gasket would work. 2 flat steel surfaces simply won't mate right.

Could I get a gasket from the dealer (since it's next door to the one I'm installing the exhaust at)?
I know I can get the industrial clamp from Autozone for $2.50.
I just thought for $600 I'd get teh extra $4 in parts.

I don't see why not. Don't worry as soon as you hear the bliss from the back of your car you'll forgive Tim.

This happened to me as well on a group buy several years ago. Tim eventually came through with the right parts. Installation is very straightforward and should take no longer than 1 hour including jacking the car up and removing the stock catback.

I don't like the "Tim eventually" part of the post above!
You're forgetting - I have air tools and a lift at a car dealership. I'm guessing 20 minutes in and out.

When myne came in the two pipes fit into one another pretty snug, i bought a small clamp just for my peace of mind at a home depot.

a bigger problem was that when my SFR exhaust came in the flange where the pipe meets the cat did not match up, i had to go to midas and get the holes drilled out.

That's odd, hopefully it mates up okay on mine. Thanks for the heads up though. Tim told me to reuse the gasket on the car as the N/A doesn't use a copper gasket. The clamp he's sending on Monday.

Soundboy, was it only the holes that didn't line up? The rest of the flange and all was okay, but the holes were too small?

Hmm...soundboy...I wonder if thats because you have a N/A. Im guessing the systems were designed on the S2. Maybe the N/A has a slight variation in setup that was overlooked?

The clamp is a Walker Mega-Clamp P/N 33272. Description is a 3.00" lap clamp stainless. http://www.walkerheavyduty.com/walke...=acc_megaclamp
The gasket is made of solid copper.
