spun bearing in my 2.7l - now selling (just the engine/head)

What would be required to put this in a 944 with a 2.5L? The main eifference is on the inside of the engine, but what outside the engine is different? DME, AFM, Throttlebody, etc?

In an early model car (83-85.1) you would need the Wiring harness, DME and the AFM from a later car. Also, the fuel lines would have to be modified. The physical characteristics are the same - it'll bolt right in.

Skip good luck with the power build-up. I think you can get 10 from these cars, but in my experience that will still put you under 140 rwhp. We shall see what you can come-up with.
As for the oil I don't think .5 to 1 hp is worth it for running thin oil. I run Amsoil 20w50 Series 2000 racing. I want to keep the oil pressure up and keep it thick as racing puts alot of stress on the motor. The thicker oil is better for higher temps especially those that occur at the bearing journals. That said thin oil by itseft won't cause a problem. Low oil levels can and thin oil just makes the engine more sensitive to oil level.
