That is complete bull ****. I guess we should get used to the 'jackass' mentality.

I saw this video on a local car forum, they found out that the guy did end up buying the car, he is friends with the salesman, so the video is fake, but pretty crazy nevertheless.

I figured it was fake,,, it seemed odd they would have people video taping all over the area form outside the car.

I saw that on one of the BMW forums. If you see the complete video, you can see it's pretty set up.

Yesterday, i saw 3 brand new (with window sticker still attached) BMW's being redlined to **** around town. Three arabic guys were driving them alone (probably employees of the dealership).

Exactly why I hate to buy a used car, and if I do want to know its extensive history. People who just beat on cars and in general have no respect for them tick me off, like once when I took my old car to the dealership for service and when I come to pick it up a few hours later I spot the car out on a tire smoking joyride by some dead beat teenager. When I made a comment about it to the service manager, that I saw my car go screaming past wound to the redline with squeeking tires and why he didn't seem to have a care in the world. ******.

That's also why a "new" car has only 4-5 miles on it tops. Some dealers claim that a car with up to 200 miles on it is still considered "new".

And just imagine all the abuse that could be done in 200 miles, on your "new" car.

I would have been so upset! That reminds me of the time I went to a Porsche dealership to browse about three years ago. I talked to one of the detailers and general go-fer for a while. He was, as you succinctly put it, a deadbeat teenager who enjoyed taking the brand Porsches on "hammering" joyrides... I couldn't believe my ears! Here I am thinking, "Yes, Porsches are made to be driven, and driven hard, but for Pete's sake, they need a break-in period!" Not to mention the fact that buyers of "new" cars don't want one that has been used, make that "abused"... I seriously considered reporting this kid to management, but did not...

Back to your nightmarish "tire-smoking" service visit... I can't imagine the rage that must have formed within you! I'll bet you were seeing red! I am so thankful that the guys who service my car (when I absolutely can not do it) are trustworthy and fair. It is such a blessing! I shudder to think of having to take my babies to a dealership or an independent whose technicians I do not know personally.
