The Positives:
I have spent far more than I should have and have tried to fix all the important mechanical issues. The car runs and drives fine and I regularly drive it around to work etc and would drive it anywhere. I purchased the car for $4500.00 01/04 without all the work you see listed!! I have around $2500+ invested maybe more but I’m afraid to total the receipts, definitely a “my loss your gain” gain situation. This car would be great for someone who can do body work or needs a great base for a Track car. It pulls 16psi of boost and is a Rocket!! I have also started an Auto-Rx treatment to help cleanse the engine. The car did receive an Emissions failure which I attributed to a high idle and faulty TPS which has been replaced but not re-inspected. I only have receipts since my ownership 01/04, but I have all of them
The Down Side:
Body work:
1. The passenger door has a gouge in it visible in the pictures (I do have a mint passenger door and hood in Zermat Silver, different color)
2. The front header panel needs to be painted, but it is in mint shape and primed, even have a new hood badge for it!
3. The car has come various dents etc that are visible in the pictures. I’ve tried to show everything in the pics if you have any more questions on the body just ask!
4. It also could use a complete paint job since the paint is pretty scratched up from previous owners…
The A/C does not work not sure what the cause is…
The clutch pedal works fine but does not return to the proper height (either slave or primary cylinder aprox. $60)
The dash has the usual cracks and interior isn’t in the best shape I would rate it a 6/10, some interior rattles that need tracking down.
Odometer does not work I was told it stopped working in January of 2004, I installed a new gear but it did not remedy the problem I can refer you to someone who can fix it for $50.
The usual small issues on an 18 year old car- I’ve tried to be as descriptive and honest about everything, please feel free to contact me about anything else on the car!
Reason for Sale: Newer 951/968/or Boxster! :-)
$4500 if anyone wants it, or she'll be on EBay soon....
Thanks!
