His location is listed as Nevada, but its located in NJ? Maybe a second home he has there. That 944 is in pretty rough shape...

No man...the description is exactly the same!!! Not only that, but he swapped the same wheels on each car!!!
And BOTH VIN's dont check out? Plus the car's are in New Jersey, but listed in Nevada????? That's REALLY fishy...

I actually looked at that car about a month ago ( the 928 )...you can see my comments on the thread on the 928 forum.....the car is rough...the guy seemed to be nice enough over the phone....he moved to Nevada and the car is at his mother's house in Newark, NJ.....it was way too rough for me...more on the inside then the outside, although the outside was no picnic either......his mom did say he had a 944 in Nevada......

Looks like the 944 is missing its air filter box too... From the pic, it looks like there's simply a hose going from the front of the manifold which goes underneath the nose.. strange....

It's a turbo-conversion.

I was wondering if they were scams (almost same descriptions on both cars), Nevada seller location, but descriptions say the cars are in NJ and have an NJ phone number.

Sweet944

Thanks....I was in the market...right now I am dealing with a family health issue so I'll be "on the bench" for the next several months......after that.....I'll either be in the market for a 928/968 or a double scotch on the rocks....or both....not necessarily together!

Priorties realy suck don't they.. Hope you family health issue is not too serious..
Maybe the 928 will still be around when you are in the market.. It is really clean & the shop it is at has a good rep. for quaility cars.. I don't think they would sell crap..

anyway good luck..

I just posted about that car. It's obviously some sort of scam. He posted it on Pelican Parts for $5300, and then dropped it to $2800 two weeks later.... uhhh, half price sale?? yeah, I'll run away now...
