After I realized I wasn't that sure of the compression results, I did a little research, and found that yes the general rule of thumb for "normal" cylinder compression should be: all cylinders should be within 10 percent value of each other, 20lbs or more difference in two adjacent cylinders from highest reading can signify a possible head gasket failure. I've decided to go ahead and use engine as is, ordered a head gasket kit, I'm not all that sure I can trust my own compression test that I ran on it over 2 months ago when it was runnning. Leakdown tester would have been nice to have had, and I might just pick one up, just for future purposes (I think I can get one for under a $100.00). I agree, I think this engine just might have much more than 10-20k miles left in it. Thanks for all the input!
