Any fuel pressure gauge that goes 0-100psi will work, you just need a modified fuel rail end cap to screw it in to.

Sam,

Can you give more info on the rail cap, what size is it?
Do we have to fab. one, or are they available somewhere?

lindsey sells a kit that comes with a new cap pre threaded for their gauge, just unscrew old, screw on new. 50ish I think.

rail cap is 12x1.5. Most pressure gauges will plug in to a 1/8" NPT. Stewart Warner makes an adapter - #114854 - usually find them for less than $10. Otherwise, it's relatively safe to just use a fuel hose attached to the end of the rail (use a clamp).

For a fuel pressure gauge, I like my Actron kit (Sears and some others carry them - ~$60)

Good Luck!

well, i went out and bought a actron from advanced auto parts for 40 bucks. interestingly enough, the end wont screw on to the rail, but only by a hair. anyways, I may just get ahold of another fuel rail cap, and drill and tap it to fit the gauge.
Skip - did your actron fit on your rail ok?

Unreal_news,

Skip gave you a maufacturer and part number for an adapter that fits the rail and fuel pressure gauge. You may have to order the adapter.

Sorry, it appears I was unclear on my previous post. The adapater I mention from Stewart Warner (others make them too) will allow you to go directly from a M12x1.5 (rail end) to a 1/8" NPT. In the kit that I have (I think may be the deluxe kit - has a lot of adapters and hoses), there was a standard schrader valve that attaches to a 1/8" NPT fitting. Put them all together and now you have a test port end cap that will work with any fuel pressure gauge. I don't have access to the car right now to snap a picture, sorry.

Alternatively, you can use the stewart warner adapter to attach a mini fuel pressure gauge (like VDO) to the end cap directly. I do not recommend leaving the fp gauge attached long term. It's not good for the gauge and I think it presents a new point of failure for possible fuel leaks.

Anyone sell metric to NPT ?
Female M12x1.5 to Female 1/8" NPT fuel hose or brake line
or use my metric blue adapter like the Warner and fit 1/8" male to 1/8" female
