Default Sway Bar question

would a worn out sway bar bushing cause ride height problems?my car is still leaning on the passenger side,even after replacing the shocks.could it be the worn swaybar bushing(very very oilly),tweeked chassis,or rear ride height.thanx in advance

sounds like a torsion bar or a spring...depends front or rear. Sway bars should NOT cause this ....

Nope. I had the same problem and it did not lean to one side. When replaced, it looks exactly the same.

One thing you should realize is (at least on NA and I think turbo stock sways) there is little to no preload on the swaybar. Unless you are putting force on them (ie going around a turn and leaning the car) there should be no affect by the sway bar. Unless maybe the sway bar was really bent, then maybe....

as stated sway bar will not cause chassis lean.

i had this problem on my very first 944 na. turned out the car had been previously wrecked and the rear bumper/nameplate panel was just slightly tweaked, so that even with the suspension straight and level, the car still LOOKED a little cockeyed.
