Default Got into an accident

Last night some one ran a red light in front of me, when i avoided hitting him i went head on into a curb. Iruined the radiator bumper power steering pump and hood, that i have noticed so far. If anyone has any parts to sell please let me know. I need to fix it myself because he kept driving.

If anyone wants to buy it in its current state send me a PM with an offer

TIA

-John

ruined the HOOD? You'd pretty much have to pull the rad frame back into place, and that would be a big job to get it right. You could cut the whole thing off a parts car, and weld it back on to your car... that would probably be cheaper than trying to bend everything back into place.

I have a radiator from my '88 NA S. I don't know if it will fit, but you can have it if you want it. Turns out it wasn't the cause of my overheating so... let me know I work down here in MA.

yea, will your insurance cover the damage? if a report was filed for documentation, at least there may be partial insurance coverage

swerving to avoid some idiot never pays. it always ends some innocent person getting hit or in a situation like yours.

I don't have collision and since he didn't stop it is like a hit and run and they won't cover it because they have no one to go after. I already needed a new hood, it is now sticking up in one corner, it may just be unaligned, a fender got pushed back i think, but no damage. the radiator frame is most likely bent on the bottom. power steering pump got knocked off the mounting, that sux i just got that fixed too.

I should have learned not to swerve since the last time. 6 months after having the car i did the same thing with less body damage, but the timing belt snapped when a bolt flew into it. No more avoiding accidents for me, I'm just gunna hit em from now on.
thanx

Hey Rich do you know anyone that has done this......cut off the front clip from just in front of the strut towers and weld it on???

Would it be better than trying to straighten it if the horns are bent??

I've heard of people doing, but never seen it done. I do know that the intercooler frame and rad frame have thier own part numbers and can be ordered seperated from the chassis.

The idea is to find a parts car and just plasma cut the rad and intercooler frame off of the chassis.

Check with your insurance anyway. You may have uninsured motorist coverage, which also covers hit and runs. At least it does with USAA.

Yes but if you don't opt for collision coverage, the uninsured motorist coverage will not apply to your vehicle, only to you.

Uninsured coverage only kicks in if the other driver hit you, he is at fault, you know who he is and he doesn't have insurance. That's the way it is in Ontaruio anyway.
