I love this line:

"Why pay $20 for a $.02 resistor in a box?!?"

Makes way more sense to spend $30 for a chip in a box!

Looks like total BS! 2 wires going to a multi pin chip? I bet money its a total ripoff.

this has to be the best example of "truth in advertising" I have ever seen... at least he could have used a few more wires to create some semblence of believability.... but ohh, that chip has "Porsche 5BR2" on it so it must be legit!

From looking at this "thing" it is apparent that this "device" is designed to plug into one of the "feature connectors" on the DME harness.

As I understand it, the "feature plug" uses a resistor to change which maps the DME uses.

As an example, F.R. Wilk (who frequents the 944 forum on Pelican Parts) has a custom "feature plug" to go with one of his chips, so maybe he can shed some more light on this.

It is a simple resistor array. Instead of one .02 cent resistor, he has one .12 cent resistor array that he printed Porsche on.

All this is doing is tricking the computer to think that the engine is still cold, thus richining up the mixture.

The saddest part about this is that someone will actually purchase it.

Look at his other auctions. He is bringing in a load of cash selling bull**** stuff. People keep buying it. Look in his feedback, he must be making a few thousand a week selling resistors, burned cds and phone cables.
I can't believe people can be that stupid.

Yes people ARE that stupid. Just look at who's in the white house.

Best way I've ever heard it put was by George Carlin: "think of how stupid the average person is, then think - half of them are stupider than THAT!"

Scary.

Well stated! No insult to the people of Florida either (they were duped or "deleted"!!)....
