Painting Brake Calipers
Im thinking about painting my brake calipers. Anyone here ever done it ( post a pic) Im thinking either Silver or Black and putting the Porsche Logo on them.

I painted them with VHT paint, red.
Just take off the tire, mask the rubber nipples and valves and paint a couple coats on the entire caliper.
You can sand off the Porsche letters when the paint has dried with a file, theyll look great.
Its been a couple months, and the paint still looks like new

On the rally cars the paint has not held up as well. I use Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads (lots of dust) and I get the brakes real hot. On the "new" rally car I am building - I used the G2 epoxy paint system. The results so far are excellent. I have not used the car yet - but I expect these to hold up much better than the Dupli-Color.
I also agree with some of the comments of others. If you are rebuilding the calipers and have everything apart - why not paint them and make them look nice? If this is just to paint them for looks - you'd be better off spending time on something that actually needs improvement.
Attached is a pic of the 944 job from 3 years ago and some of the G2 paint just this summer on another car.

MPD,
Your brakes look great, my hands aren't as steady as I'd like them to be to paint the letters as nicely as you did (one of the reasons I'm not going to become a surgeon ) but the filed letters are ok with me

Actually I lied, I didnt file them, I felt the need to get the dremel tool out hahaha. Cyrus, thanks, but mine werent perfect either. If you want to get them close to perfect get a paper towel, and a toothpick and clean up everyplace you go to far on. Your thumb works well for overpainted areas too. Just make sure the red is dry when you start!
