I painted them with VHT paint, red.
Just take off the tire, mask the rubber nipples and valves and paint a couple coats on the entire caliper.
You can sand off the Porsche letters when the paint has dried with a file, theyll look great.
Its been a couple months, and the paint still looks like new

I did the same as Cyrus. I used DupliColor Hi heat red. They still look as good as the day I painted them.
Pics are in my 'S2 Project' gallery in my sig.

Its silly in general. Take some time and repack your cv joints or something instead. Im sure your car isnt 100% mechanically perfect.

I've done several sets of calipers on my cars. The first couple were painted with Dupli-Color (orange). On the 944 they still look good after 3+ years.

On the rally cars the paint has not held up as well. I use Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads (lots of dust) and I get the brakes real hot. On the "new" rally car I am building - I used the G2 epoxy paint system. The results so far are excellent. I have not used the car yet - but I expect these to hold up much better than the Dupli-Color.

I also agree with some of the comments of others. If you are rebuilding the calipers and have everything apart - why not paint them and make them look nice? If this is just to paint them for looks - you'd be better off spending time on something that actually needs improvement.

Attached is a pic of the 944 job from 3 years ago and some of the G2 paint just this summer on another car.

I did my early ones black and put new black undercoating in the wheel wells at the same time.

Looks 1000% better.

Well, yes serge...I did do my rear wheel bearings at the same time.

Dont File the Porsche letters. I did that on my rears, and painted my fronts white to see which would work better, and the painted definitly looks better after months of use.

MPD,

Your brakes look great, my hands aren't as steady as I'd like them to be to paint the letters as nicely as you did (one of the reasons I'm not going to become a surgeon ) but the filed letters are ok with me

Actually I lied, I didnt file them, I felt the need to get the dremel tool out hahaha. Cyrus, thanks, but mine werent perfect either. If you want to get them close to perfect get a paper towel, and a toothpick and clean up everyplace you go to far on. Your thumb works well for overpainted areas too. Just make sure the red is dry when you start!
