Sticky post suggestions (please read)
It seems that there are a lot of get togethers and events planned nowadays so in an effort to try to keep the sticky posts to a minimum, please PM me to request your thread be stickied when you have a date set and the plan for your event worked out.
If your event is in the planning stage and there is interest in it, people will be posting to the thread anyway and that will keep it near the top of the forum page. It won’t need the sticky yet.
Let’s try to stick the thread no more than two weeks before the event. I will “un-stick” the post one or two days after the event.
Don’t forget to post in the Regional Forums, also.
If you want your thread cross posted to some of the other forums, let me know which ones and I will cross post it. If you want it stickied in another forum please notify John D. or that particular forum’s moderator.

In the midst of chaos... into town walks this one cowboy. No one had ever seen him before. He tells the town how it's going to be. No more shooting, no more unplanned funerals, no more general disregard for human decency and lawlesness, and an advocate for all that is right and good.
He dons a white hat. Later we learned his name was Pete. None of the rowdies liked Pete because he upset the lawless balance of fear and loathing. It took time, but the good people of the community realized he was absolutely right, as the rowdies were vanqiushed one by one, became good citizens or simply left town in the still of the night without any fanfare.
We look back now and it was the one man who stood up for all that was good became respected for his vision we far more than anyone had expected. The community has been a place of peace ever since.
Thank you, man in the white hat, for doing a job nobody wanted, facing ridicule and encouraging a general calm.

Yaknow, back in the good ole' days, I could count on a good MONTH of sticky time for my 944fest propaganda. Ya can't BUY advertising like that for any price! Now with all these copycat get-togethers cutting into my market, how's a guy supposed to make a buck? (Oh that's right, I never made a cent..nevermind!)
I'd like to think I contributed a bit to promote regional get togethers. It is a beauuuuutiful thing!

Sam, I was thinking about the Mr.Deeds thing Winchestertonfieldville...
Pete- I've had all the antifreeze I can drink!! The green stuff tastes icky and give me a wicked hangover, so I've switched to Orange Glo.... now my urine smells funny.

Dan, you were certainly an inspiration for our Renntreffen event! Wish you could have been there, you would have been VERY proud!
Two weeks sounds about right, altho I will hate having to continually bump my posts prior to that... lol
