Hey, looking for help guys.. my tranny just blew its guts I guess, and i'm in college right now, and i'm hoping one of you rennlisters are willing to cut me a deal here. I need a used tranny, bad, and cant afford to spend alot on it. Anyone got one they'd like to sell to me?

Just wondering, are you sure its the transmission? I know I know. But, I thought
I blew out a 944 transmission and payed upwards 1000.00 to have it swapped out for a used one and it ended up being my torque tube snapped! Could'nt beleive it but its true! Im now using my original transaxle with my LT1 engine and its the best match up and works great. But, yeah sorry to hear your 944 is down. Check ebay.com they usually have some trannys on there for cheap. Good luck. -Michael

I've got my NA Trans on ebay for $99. It didn't sell last time when I had it out there for $199. Hard to say what it might go for but I bet it won't be much. What sort of price range are you hoping to find one in?

Well. I'm looking to HOPEFULLY spend 500 or less. For a trans with 163k on it, what do you think its worth? make me an offer, and shipping offer if possible to 02859. thanks.

Devon, this tranny is pretty clean right here, email the seller and ask him the mileage and history of the tranny, whether it has been abused or not. Oh! Also check local wrecking yards for 944 trannies!

Good luck to you man.

Well - not sure what it is worth - I guess we'll see what it goes for on ebay. I betcha it'll be around $150 if the last time around was any indication. I am not sure how I could ship it. I checked UPS and it looks pretty expensive - surely there is a way to have a trucking company pick it up cheaper. My zip is 30071 for ref sake.

"Ian" here on the BBS has one for sale for $350, IIRC. Send him a PM.

Hey, can I have your old broken one if I pay you shipping for it? PM me. Thanks!

Tifo, you have a PM, and I PM'd Ian. One question, AFTER I sent the PM, I noticed that in his sig line, he has it as from a 924s. Is that going to have the speedo sender? Probably not huh? I'd really rather get a transmission that has what I need, and not have to redneck it.
