There are some much better ones. That one was kind of boring. There's no way they could have shot it with so many cameras, it must have been edited from a bunch of different ones.

There are yahoo's in Cinci- this is a huge bike town. I recall just 2 weeks or so some idiot doing a mile long wheelie in traffic on 275..I was doing 65 and he passed me on one wheel, then changed lanes and continued on- all while doing a wheelie.

I guess it's a personal death wish thing. It's amazing how 1 idiot can make the word a dangerous place for others. My sage words of advice- take it to a track or closed road. If you wanna kill yourself by performing theses stunts, fine- just dont take any innocent souls with you.

I guess they don't have helicopters wherever this was filmed.

Some questions:

1. Does he ever get caught? Why can he outrun a radio?

2. Assuming you don't crash the bike, how long would it last with that kind of abuse?

3. What's the life expectancy of a rear tire with all the burnouts? How much do motorcycle tires cost?

4. Couldn't the police find out who this guy is because he's selling DVDs?

5. Are there other tape series where:

a. ...they bait the police to chase them?
b. ...they have multiple camera angles along the route?

Wow, pretty crazy stuff to watch.

If he can afford to enter this http://www.ultimaterally.com/ then I dont think the cost of tires is an issue

Of the 7 routes, where do you think they would run?

It seems like several of the routes are not practical because of the consequences of getting caught.

In fact Ghostrider DID get caught.... by the police in Sweden. They used a spike strip and at over 100 mph on one wheel, let's just say they didn't have much to cleanup. Lesson is: don't be a dumbass over and over again without being ready to take one in the ***. The cops ALWAYS win in the end.

Well, some of those Euro/Asia routes are fraught with danger, political, bandits etc.
I would say the south American route would be cool, you may be able to bribe your way out of trouble , although it would not make for a good movie, which they intend to shoot.

Is there an article on that somewhere?

Are the police supposed to use spike strips on motorcyles?

The real Ghost Rider has never been caught.

The clip in the URL is from the Ghost Rider 1 (if I remember correctly) but the purpose of that clip is just to make fun of the police. There are however some REAL wild driving in that film. Like blowing by cars on the highway in the space between the car and the concrete (perhaps 100 cm) in 290+ km/h.

Pretty sick!

BTW spike strips are not really used here in Sweden. Actually the police aren't allowed to pick continue a chase if it means putting other people in a very dangerous situation. Meaning, they wouldn't chase a high speeding veichle at close distance in a low speed area.
(Since a chase will raise the speed and it's a lot higher risk of a bad manouver from someone being chased).

It's all entertaining until they crash into someone you love.
The cops should just shoot these idiots so that they can't kill any innocent people who are just going about their lawful existence.
