Default OEM Wheel Locks

I never received the keys to the old style (keyed) wheel locks. The PO lost them. How can I get this 951 an alignment? I'm willing to destroy the locks but not the wheels though. Ideas?

Drill a hole through the lock cylinder and remove it like a normal lugnut.
There are millions of threads on this subject.

Required tools:

Hammer
Cold Chisel
Safety Glasses
Favorite Beer (Shiner Bock is best, but you can make do with others)

0. Always wear personal protective equipment (safety glasses)

1. Pop the caps from the lock

2. Place the edge of the cold chisel in the groove the cap snaps into

3. Give the cold chisel a sharp rap wtih the hammer

4. Duck as the top of the cylinder fies off

5. Pull the cylinder off from around the lug nut

6. Remove tumblers

7. Repeat 1-6 until all locks are defeated

8. Enjoy your beer

If this takes more than 5 minutes total you're doing something wrong.

More than 5minutes? Are we talking about a pint or a six-pack?

Personally, I'm in the process tossing out these old removing wheel locks in favor of normal lugnuts -- who's going to steal these old rims anyways?

It boggles my mind that these locks have always been so easy to defeat. I wonder if they ever deterred a single theft.

Yep. About 5 minutes total. Had some extra black lug nuts laying around.

(Got to use my second favorite tool: 2lb sledge on 12" handle. Favortie tool: Sawzall!)

Thx, Geo!
