Default Early dash question?

The early dash in the 924S is a bit quirky, but given that the gauges are the exact some size I was wondering if they could be moved around. For example could the tach and speedo be swapped placing the tach in the middle?

Also can the gauges be rotated? I'm thinking of having a custom speedo made so that it dosn't swing upside down anymore.....

TIA

yes from what i have worked on in my car it looks like you could, you may need to stretch some wiring-not much- if at all, but they just pop in and out so im guessing you could. You would need to keep the speedo close cus the length of the cable makes it hard to move around, so it may need to be on one side or the other depending on how much slack you have.

Yes they can be moved. I'm pretty sure they can be rotated too. There is a little plastic indexing pin that would have to be removed first however.

i put the tach in the middle on my car.and i like having the tach clearly visible...all i needed to do was extend some of the wiring of the speedometer...you can rotate them too if u want but it looks stupid in my opinion

You may need to do a little cutting on a piece of metal behind the gauges to swap the speedo into the right most position. The speedo cable can be tough to work with as its not very flexable and may cause issues on this part. You will see what i mean by this when taking the gauges out.
