Default Well, I finally did it!!!

Thanks to everyone for the advice and comments!
GOOD NEWS!!

I am now the proud owner ( and 3rd owner) of a beautiful, 1988, guards red 951, with only 75K miles. Had a PPI, and everything checked out perfect!

It needs some minor interior work ( very small worn places on seats), but mainly just a good wash and wax! Paid less than $8K for it, so I feel like it was a great deal.

Again thanks to everyone...glad I took the advice to "experience boost!!"

I'm sure I'll be posting plenty of questions here for tech help now and again, and I'm glad that there are all the folks on Rennlist to help out!
Thanks!
-Jeff

Welcome and enjoy.

You should add your location to your profile so people in your area can come over and drool on your car.

and people should've told you, when you drive a european car, you MUST change your name to the propper, European spelling, Geoff.... It's not like you're driving a camaro so the "must be a redneck Jeff Foxworthy" type name MUST go...

j/k...can ya tell which way I spell my name?

Anyway, Post some pictures and welcome to Rennlist

I'll certainly work on the name...maybe I'll just go by my initials "JD"...although that might sound more like a redneck than Jeff...I am originally from Arkansas!!

But now I have "come home" to the Lone Star state...Houston to be exact.

Yep...I joined Rennlist yesterday, just waiting on the approval thing.
I'm on the west side of H-town, Bear Creek.
Thanks Brian!

We'll have to get together again pretty soon. I have to get ready for the Texas Mile.

Anybody else get the invitation to the 997 launch party tomorrow night? I had to RSVP with Momentum. They said it's going to be a full house. It's going to be at the Rouge restaurant. I've never been there before.

I obviously didn't get an invite...but hey I've only had my car for three days.

Yep, I agree about getting together. Let me know, I certainly have a lot to learn about the car.

Jason just got his TA back and is ready for the TX mile too.
