Trading a 968 for a semi-ratty 924S...I HOPE you know what you did!

if I overheard Jim B correctly, he knows where alot of Carrera body parts are being stashed away. A GTS/GTR project may not be so far fetched.

Fezz,

I have heard that before, I need to call Jim and find out if this rumor is true and if so how to get my hands on some of these pieces, if I could snag OEM parts that would firm up my decision to go with the 924 GTS look. As it stands now I have 4 options:

1) Stock and Ratty
2) Stock and repaired
3) 924 D Production Look
4) 924 GTS Look

I was leaning towards the D Prod look because its something new, I have not seen it done before and I think if i went that directin I could still get 16x8s all around and run 245 series R compounds...

Andy K,

Yep I traded in a 968 for a 924S, but i'm getting 7500 dollars for the 968 plus the 924S, so all things considered I'm quite happy with the deal. There were far to many things that the 968 needed for me to be truely happy with it (Coil-Overs, Turbo 3.0L, New Dash, Seats, and a Full pait job changing it to polar silver)....

Ian

If you have the 951 drive-train....wouldn't this be an easier project? ( and a lot less $ ).....?

Joe,

I would guess that would be a lot easier, and I do love white 951's w/ fuchs, but the deal for the 924S is done, and I have had enought cars pass through my garage this year. I don't need to make things more complicated around here.

And besides, then I would just have yet another 951, if this project works out as planned I'll have something very unique....
