Default Hurricane on the way...P-cars have to stay behind...

This is making me really sad! This hurricane is gonna be a monster and my P-cars are gonna have to stay at home when we get out! We're heading inland to stay at a hotel but there's no way to take the cars with us. If this thing does land where they're predicting there might not be much of a house to come back to. The garage isn't going to hold up to 140 mph winds....

If my car gets destroyed right after I spent like 20 hours upgrading the suspension I'm going to be pissed! Right before I cry that is...insurance might cover the money cost of the car but there's no way to replace it...ugh.

Dave,
I'm parking my car in one of the concrete parking garages at MCO. Figure that should hold up if anything. I'll cover it and disconnect the batt. and hope for the best while I eascape to New Orleans. Parking will cost ~$30 bucks but who cares.

Best of luck

Is there some way to rent a trailer, or, hell, wrap a chain around it and drag it behind you to a safer location? Good luck. I know its going to be a big blow. But, cars can be replaced! I have friends and a neice near Lauderdale. I'm worried about them. My other neice was in Charolette last week. Be safe!

Good Luck and Stay Safe. Most of my family is in Orlando or Plantation. Hope you and the P-Cars weather through this one without damage. That's the good thing about earthquakes here, outta sight/outta mind. When they hit, it's already too late.

Tell you what I'll come down and drive your car up to Va to keep it safe. I know it's all very risky but I'd be willing to do that for you. But for real I hope your cars stay safe.

Now how many places can you get an offer like that??

I don't think my car deserves better treatment than dad's car or my brother's 944 though...they'll all be hanging out together in the garage. I need to find my cover and just hope nothing too big falls on it

Hey Dave if you want you can tranfer the cars to my house in St.Petersburg but that's a long drive and they would be outside.

Infrared image of the Atlantic - I wouldn't want to be anywhere near that thing - it's gonna' rip someone a new one!

Think of all the rain that GA, SC and NC just got from Gaston, now they're looking down the barrel of a Cat IV, possibly even a V by the time it hits. . . not good.

Get out now. Go somewhere safe like Colorado for a week.

Dad works for the power company so he has to ride it out there at the plant...the rest of us are going over into Orlando and there's no real way to get the cars there and have them be any safer than they are here really...I'm tempted to drop them at Seb's house though...I don't really have much time though. I have a Calculus 3 exam tomorrow and another test on Thursday, right before we head out. It's gonna take at least 3 hours to get to Tampa with how bad traffic is gonna be...ugh.

I know how you feel. Three weeks ago my family and I went up to Charleston, S.C. to help my brother move. Even though the radio announcements were urging people to get away from the coast, there we were driving the moving truck and the caravan of cars directly to the coast. If that wasn't bad enough, it was also Friday the 13th. Since the news predicted Charlie hitting on Saturday,we stayed up all of Friday night to unload the truck.

Good luck Dave and everyone else. Hopefully this storm will dissipate before causing too much damage

Well I guess the good news is that the work I'm doing is at the Bacardi Rum plant. If it goes completely haywire I'll just start drinking!
