Odometer Problem
Ok I think its about time to fix my odometer. The problem with my odometer from what the PO told me was that once he hit 100k the 1 on the odo jumped from 1 to between 3 and 4 so now it looks like it has 345k miles when im driving it. The rest of the odo works fine its just the 100k spot. I have seen the odo gears being sold and Im not sure if those will fix my problem. Anyone have this problem too?

you probably need a new odometer unit. There is a chance it could be some easy fix though, you will never know if you dont pull the unit out. the whole process sounds alot harder than it is, IMHO the hardest part was figuring out how to pull the needle off of the tach; the trick is to twist CCW while pulling up on it, straight up pulling does no good.
If your odometer is messed up, you can either swap out the whole cluster (less work, more $$) or just get someone to sell you a used odometer unit and place the miles correctly, and reinstall.

mine did the same thing before the whole works died completely. Your odometer gear just took a scheisse. KLA Industries sells odometer gears too and insructions I believe are on their site to change it.

Travis, I never knew you sold odometer gears; man I should have went through you when mine broke instead of pay 170 bucks from my friend including labor

Travis, I would like to buy a lemur monkey. Get back to me with pricing and available to ship date please. I need the one that is compatible with ethylene glycol, since I live in a cold climate.
