Too bad they didn't use the whole dashboard. Perhaps more manufactured would would have brought the price down. Those pedals look familar too.

You may not have heard of it, but the Sirius has a good pedigree and the small matter of 850bhp
Mercedes V12, 850hp, WOW!!!

I guess Porsche didn't get the exclusive rights to the dash from VDO. Or they didn't care because it is an obsolete part.

Good news, we dont need to buy used parts from Auto Atlanta since new ones are still available.

Hmm. Very interesting. I read in EWE that the dash and pod were designed by Porsche's in-house designer, and that VDO made the pod to their specs. I wonder if there is a license agreement between the two, and if Porsche is getting some royalties from this?

Even the shift lever looks like a 944/968 type. Any other pics or links of that car?

It said in the article that the dash was "944 turbo" as homage to when the car was supposed to be porsche powered. So I guess Porsche gave the OK at some point.
