Oh, skunks are really bad news. I can't believe some people keep them as pets but I guess they are OK if you have the scent gland removed. There are big clubs of skunk owners

Funny story. Many years ago I was duck hunting with my father and his friend and son. Well, we limit out and go back to the car, the other son and I carring the duck boat, of course. A skunk runs under the car! This stupid guy gets down on his belly and shoots the skunk with a 12 gauge. What a moron. Besides wrecking some parts underneath the car stunk to high heaven and we had to ride back home for two hours. Last time I had anything to do with that guy.

nineeagles, the deer is probably dead from internal injuries. It is amazing how long they can hold out with a mortal injury. I shot a deer once and blew its heart to bits. It still kept going for around 200 yards until blood for the brain stopped.

nineeagles, I'm so sorry to hear about your accident, which occured at no fault of your own. I was fortunate that I was able to narrowly avoid three deer two weeks ago while in the 968. I'm glad that you are okay, as that is most important. I hope that you can get your car fully repaired soon!

Ahh--7 Springs, my old employer. I am glad you didn't get hurt, and good luck on the repairs.
