What is the pipe size going into, and leaving the stock catalytic converter? need a new one,, looking to go generic.. is it 2.5 inch or somehting?

iirc i think its 2.25 ID... i'd have to double check. maybe tomorrow

On an NA (at least the couple I have measured) the in and out are just barely 2.25. The inlet side on the Y pipe just barely has enough meat that is 2.25 diameter to be able to weld on a new cat. AND make sure you weld it up on the car so you get the angle just right. Ask me how I know.

Probably not without some sort of adaptors on both ends of the cat.

And when I write that the in and out are just barely 2.25, I mean they are just barely, leaning toward smaller than 2.25.

Ugh ib ought the wrong one! Think they will take it back even though I filled otu the warranty card already? Maybe I jus twont put the warranty card back in the box.. they prob won't check!
