Got to admit, I was thinking the same thing....

First night I had my car I nearly spun it. I have to say most often young/inexperienced + Porsche = stupid mistakes.

All of ours 944s just went up in value $21.54 because of the new supply ratio.

I really have no time to sympathize with jagoffs like this to want to show off to their buddies how big of a johnson they have because of how fast they drive in their itty bitty porsche. these people are losers, at least the one driving and the one with the head out the moonroof. I just hope nobody in the car was screaming, "let me out of this car or slow down" and it fell on deaf ears. Now THATS tragic.

You have to sympathize with them until they are about 25, or so. That's what you learn when you have your own.

I wonder if it wasn't mechanical..
It wouldn't be the first time a PO didn't tell a buyer of something that wasn't " quite right "

Joy ride or not, it's tragic..

I think that I would have broken it in a little better and smarter to see if things were going to break.
well, I look back on my first day with my 944, I drove the hell out of it.

Hopefully they check the control arms.

Seriously, I have to feel for the parents of those stupid kids. And they were stupid, but that's what kids that age are supposed to be.

I hope all of them recover, and that all the kids on this site learn something from this.

If you want to do something really stupid, think twice and make sure no one's riding with you.

This is another example of inexperienced drivers trying to find the limits of their car on public highways. PEOPLE! Do it at the TRACK! NOT ON THE HIGHWAY!

These cars are built like tanks. Thay may lack the latest in airbag safety gizmos, but they are rock solid. Most cars (particularly 80s cars) would've crumpled like cardboard.

Oh damn. Thank goodness those people are alright. This sent a chill down my spine, because their car is identical to mine, right down to the color-coded Fuchs.

You can buy mine for $4400. The car they are attached to will be included, for free.

As a parent of an 83 driver this one strikes home. Fortunately we both worked on the car prior to turning over the keys. [Insert the browbeating parent track here]. He's been on a couple runs with us locals and has learned the car well. Why anyone would take out a brand new car, push it past the limits of his experience with 4 people in it is beyond my comprehension. Friends at work get on me about what my Son drives, but I stand by my decision. I'm glad everyone is alive, it says a lot about the structural integrity of the marque. Maybe he will learn from this but then again it might be the nature of the kid to begin with; I hope not.

As long as ths occupants are OK, then let the vultures descend. It's a bit overwhelming how much torque you can achieve at 5500 rpm. a lot of unexperienced drivers cant hande it. Then it it's too late- Outta hand.

WE KNOW how these cars can break loose - but unexperienced drivers dont- this is the point.

A little reverence is in order for someone who is un-experienced.

WE have experience behind the wheel in unusual situations- others dont.

Be nice.
S-A-R-C-A-S-M. It was a joke. Shees, you've been hanging around Campeck too much
