Does anyone out there still make a radar detector unit with the remote located sensor? My wife's old car had one of those in it and it worked very well (the sensor was placed in the front grille by the license plate), but it was a very old radar detector, probably not a very good one by today's standards. Just wondering if any of the new "fancy" ones happens to have this setup.
Or you could just be careful about not driving too fast. . .
Or build a jammer

Maybe the fact my car is on the lowest settings on the adjustable koni's / eccentrics helps too, but I've had no problems getting signals from behind. There's a police station I pass all the time on the local hwy, and I always get signal hits as I approach it, and a clear signal while driving away from the station.

I put my whistler under the rear view mirror (along with my gtech pro, and my navigation system, damn my windshield is worth more than my car!), and I tapped the power wire into the constant power of the interior light on the top. It looks clean

How the hell does it jam LASER??? Does it just blast IR pulses on commonly used IR wavelengths continuously or something?
Not that I'm advocating driving like a maniac, but given what a ridiculous game speed traps have become (they're so transparently to raise revenue, not safety) it might be actually worth the money. Two tickets can easily cost $1100 once you're done with the insurance hike and the cost of paying them. Something to consider. . .
