Exclamation Battery Cable Package Done! Final Prices Calculated!

After long delays in getting manufacturers to crank up production and get back ordered parts filled I finally have all the battery cables built and ready to go. Finished yesterday!

My initial guess of a $50 increase in the total price due to component price increases since last January was pretty much spot on. I knew it was going to be on that order when I first saw what happened to cable price quotes. And these packages use a LOT of copper. Here are the old and new prices:

Negative cables: $44 increased to $49
Positives: $100 increased to $131
Fused Supplemental Positive: $54 increased to $69

Total: $198 increased to $249

The packaging material and FedEx Ground in the lower 48 USA will stay at $15, for a grand total of $264.

All those that sent in deposits for this build will, of course, be filled. If you don't like the $50 price increase you can bail out as I have people on a waiting list hoping someone drops out. If you have a straight forward order send in final payment via PayPal or a check to my address which is the same as before. If you lost it e-mail me at wraydan@msn.com and I will send it to you. As before, if you are going to use PayPal don't fund the transaction with a credit or debit card as I only have a personal account and can't take those payments without upgrading the account, which I don't want to do due to all the fees.

With your final payment include your shipping address, if that is a business or residence, if OK to leave at door if no one home and a day time telephone contact number. I can also put your email address in the FedEx shipping manifest and it will generate an email to you when your package enters the system, tracking number, etc.

For those of you that are combining the battery cables with headlight packages, etc., I'll email you with the final totals with shipping. For the Canadians I will ship by USPS so you don't get whacked with the brokerage fees FedEx charges and I'll let you know what the total comes out to with USPS.

So, only about 3 weeks behind schedule, guess it could have been a lot worse.

Well, I'm grateful to you, Iceshark, for squeezing my order in. The checque's in the mail tomorrow, can't wait to install the set after seeing all that smoke under my hood when the 944 took off on her own in my machine shop!

Dan, do you still have headlight kits? How much are they?

BTW guys, I have his negative battery cable. The craftsmanship is excellent, and they're well worth the price.

elvisizer, just $214 as you have already paid the $50 deposit. Though, if you want to make it $264, I won't complain. I gave the totals so people could keep the top lines straight as I have a bunch of orders that are wrapping other items into one big shipment.

Brandon, yes I have several Full Boat headlight packages on hand and can ship whenever you want. The total with an extra set of 90/100 H4 bulbs and the shipping in lower 48 USA is $374.50. If you only want parts of it you can go over to Danno's http://www.gururacing.net site and see the component price breakdowns. I think he has the current prices on the headlight package but if he doesn't, they are close enough and only off by a few bucks. So, if you want something, just let me know at wraydan@msn.com

Yes, Pete. Just pull $69 off the total $264 with shipping for a net of $195. Less the $50 deposit for a final check of $145. FedEx doesn't change the shipping rates much once you get into the 4 to 12 lb range. All you are going to be missing from the full package is the supplemental fused positive to the fuse relay board and that doesn't weigh much more than a pound. You will still get all the extras like dielectric grease, special firewall cable ties, new rubber coated clamps, sanding sponge, etc.

Dan- does the "full boat" package include the cables and such that you made in this build, along with the headlights? I was under the impression that you had no stock and I'd have to wait until you could get another 100 people...

Ned, Oh no. These are two seperate packages. There is the FullBoat Headlight package. That is $374.50 and I have plenty of them left at this point. Well, maybe 10 of them anyway, though a couple went today.

The Full Battery Cable package is a whole 'nother deal. Those are long sold out - sort of funny, actually. When I secured the fuses in my hot little hands, which is the big hangup and why it will take 100 orders next time around, I posted that on a summer Saturday. They were all gone in 4 days. Price unknown but will be going up, you want in, send in $50 deposit. So the battery cables are the current 100-people-sign-up-to-do-the-next-build problem. Though, I will still have the upgraded negative battery cables at $49 for anyone who wants them. Those don't need fuses.

So, two seperate product lines but people mix and match the components in their orders all the time.

Dan, you have me down for a negative and a fused suplimental positive, right? $49 and $69 plus $15 for shipping, less $50 is $83, if my math is correct. If thats right, let me know and I will shoot you off a payment. I haven't heard from Dime in a while, so I will just have you ship my cables.

Regards,
