The poor guy! He had the elusive "dream" of turbocharging his N/A, and further, the turbo he bought doesn't appear to have much "blow" left in it. What's more, the person from whom he bought the turbo has an e-mail address of "keepemrollin." It appears that it's going to take a lot of work to keep that old rusty turbo "rolling."

From reading about how high you guys are willing to go to Dave's comment about 33K miles in reverse, I've gotten a lot of laughs out of this thread so far!

 

well i dont know the inside joke on this car, but i now have a popup for viewpoint that will not go away since i visited the site.

 

Kenny - this car was for sale at a Corvette dealer about 5 miles from my house. They wanted over 7K for it. I offered them 1500 bucks. All of a sudden their reserve on ebay went WAY down. It is a running driving car and if the price is right I will buy it, purple and all. Seriously if you guys have no intention of buying it, back off...my meat....

OK Matt - I'll back out. Not much fun with a private auction anyway, although the seller might get excited about all the bidding he is attracting. Now if a cheap, broken belt, dog lived in the interior turbo comes along - I hope others would do the same.

I just dont want to see a bunch of us jack up the price for no particular reason. He is probably closer to you than me. You should see the paint, yikes. And it was done over what appears to be Zermatt.

I'd like to have a running one, but my neighbors have been too patient with me as it is. I have two 944's sitting outside already, along with the truck and the daily driver. What I really need is a place with a larger garage, or unload some of the stuff I have.
